Furkan Korkmaz

  • 6’7” Shooting Guard with solid length (wingspan unavailable)
  • Only 18 years old; played 2 years at Anadolu Efes
  • 1 pts/40 against high-level professional competition
  • 3% 3pt shooter on 1.4 attempts/game (41.4% on 1.5 attempts as a 17 y/o)
  • Quick, high release; not fazed by defenders in his face
  • Didn’t get much PT on Anadolu Efes with NBA draftees Dario Saric, Cedi Osman
  • Only 1.1 2pt attempts in 8.8 minutes/game
  • Gets outmuscled by older European vets; can’t defend dribble-penetration through contact, gets bodied in the post
  • Very athletic
  • Good foot speed; can blow by defenders to get into the lane
  • Mostly a straight-line driver
  • Looks to pass or use floater/creative lay-ups, rather than attack bigs at rim
  • Only 1.7 Free Throw Attempts/40
  • Great leaper off one-foot; looks to dunk when no defenders present at rim
  • Won 2016 Turkish Basketball League All-Star Slam Dunk Contest
  • Primarily used as spot-up shooter, but can blow by overly aggressive close-outs
  • Doesn’t have much in-game experience as primary PNR ball-handler
  • Decent defensively; good length, but lacks strength
  • Stays in front of man by backing off instead of moving sideways; good shooters can take advantage of the space given

  • Young with a lot of upside, already has major pro experience
  • Probably won’t come to NBA for a few years; needs to add strength still
  • Great complementary player already as a floor spacer/versatile scorer, could improve to 2nd offensive option
  • Won’t be lockdown defender, but likely not a liability by the time he comes over
  • #5 Shooting Guard, #8 overall Guard; should go 12-20
